HGTV’s Property Brothers meets The Marriage Bargain in this third volume in the Billionaire Builders series, an all-new, heart-wrenching, and sexy contemporary romance from New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst.
Tristan Pierce left the family business to carve out a life of his own, but never forgot his passionate affair with the much younger, inexperienced Sydney Greene, or the hurtful breakup that tore him apart. When he’s forced to return home and face his past, will he be able to carve out a future, or will lies ruin his second chance at love?
Sydney Greene loved Tristan her entire life but when he left, he took not only her heart, but her trust along with him. Now that they’re together again, it’s time they both face the biggest secret of all...
This was one of those books that really made me angry to the point that I wasn’t sure I could continue reading.
I really liked Tristan up to a certain point where his behavior took a wild left turn for me. While I totally understand the place he was coming from and why he was so angry, it was the extreme way he took out his anger that had me wanting to throw my kindle and curse out author. Never the less I pushed through and I’m really happy that I did.
I won’t lie and say that I’m completely satisfied with the way things went but I understand why they went that way and how it contributed to the relationship between Tristan and Sydney.
I think that the simple fact that I could feel so passionate about the characters and their story means that the writing was so good that I was completely invested and that’s all I can ask for from an author and a book.
This was the final book in the Billionaire Builder’s Series and I’m sad to see it come to an end but I love the journey that these brothers took me on and I will totally come back to visit the Pierce brothers in the future.
My favorite romances to read are friends to lovers, second chance romance, and lifelong love stories. I read mostly YA, NA and contemporary but I've been known to enjoy a good erotica romance now and again. I enjoy sex in books but it's not required for me to enjoy a story. Too much sex can be worse than none, in my opinion.
I don't really enjoy books with love triangles and/or cheating, and I don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy or suspense books.
On any given day you'll find me camped out on my couch with my Kindle in one hand, a Mountain Dew in the other, the tv on in the background (Food Network or Hallmark Channel) with one or both of my kids and my husband trying to get me to answer them about when we might eat again.
