Life goes on …
Amelia’s friends move heaven and earth to help ease her sadness. Knowing she’s on a dangerous precipice, they fight through their own pain to bring her safely to the other side of her grief.
Love can conquer …
Amelia knows bottling up her feelings isn’t helping anything. With love at her fingertips, all she has to do is reach for it. Mel’s loved ones desperately hope she can once again find her way to happiness.
Can Amelia overcome her fears to let love in again, or will she let the weight of that night continue to drown her in sorrow?
If you have not read Just an Illusion Side A and the B side, STOP reading this review and go read the books first as there are spoilers from the first two books in this review.
This will be a short but sweet review since I can’t really say much except for how I feel about all the characters and this series. Listen, when I started Side A, I couldn’t believe all the fucked-upness of the story. I really really loved Sawyer and was so devastated when Noah stole Mel’s heart but then I got to know Noah and I fell deeply in love with him over the series. Noah stole my heart and I will never get it back. Too bad he picked Mel and not me because I could give that girl a run for her money… lol, just kidding but I seriously loved Noah and how he was so patient with Mel and knew what an amazing wife and mother she would be all along. These folks have had some horrible tragedies happen to them and nobody deserves to go through so much. Listen, I cried my eyes out in every single one of these books and it appears that each book got me more and more emotional as I kept reading. Let me just say that as much as I cursed at Ms. Kelly for the things that happened, I still understand why and the more I read, the more addicted I became to the story and characters. I loved that I connected with every single character in these books, it just goes to show that the writer did well with character development. I did want to slap Sawyer a fuck ton, I wanted to slap Mel even more but Noah is one of those characters that is just absolutely perfect and I never wanted to slap him, like ever! Shit, even Belle got on my nerves but I will say, Darren is high up on my list almost up there with Noah! Belle has a perfect man and it devastates me that her life ended tragically but at least her baby girl will be well taken care of since Darren is seriously the most amazing father!!!
Ok I’m done rambling, I just have one thing to say.. Why haven’t you picked up the series already and stated reading? Trust me, it’s super emotional but this is one of those stories that will stay with you every single day. I feel like the characters are friends of mine and I’m right there with all of them, that’s how close this story is to my heart and I know others will absolutely love it but also hate it for all of the heartache. But if Ms. Kelly is good at one thing, she knows how to mend your heart back together and leave you feeling whole again after breaking you into 1000 pieces. Enjoy the ride, it’s a bumpy road the whole way through! 5 epic heart breaking stars!!!
