Two strangers in Paris ...
One passionate, earth-shattering kiss.
He was the artist upstairs
with the tantalizing smile and laughing eyes.
He was the devil inviting me to sin,
seducing me to dance in the bright moonlight.
He was desire and need.
When he touched me, my body sang.
My soul came alive.
But I belonged to another man,
and he didn't want to let me go.
Love me in the Dark is such a different storyline for Mia Asher and let me just say it was incredible! I absolutely loved this story, loved the characters… well almost all of them. There were a few I wanted to throat punch but otherwise, this is a story that you will fall head over heels for because this is Mia Asher working her magic that sucks you in so deep! Valentina goes ahead to Paris before her husband gets there, but once she is there, he has a change of plans and can’t make it. Val ends up staying in Paris to get some time away for herself. What she never expects is to meet Sebastien, a man that just attracts all attention from anyone within 5 feet of him. She has no plans to see this man again except unfortunately, she keeps running into him. Sebastien has his own past and his own demons he’s been dealing with for years but there is something about Valentina that just draws him to her. This isn’t really a love triangle like Ms. Asher’s other stories, you just have to read it to find out how everything unfolds in this little gem.
I can’t say enough good things about this story! I loved the connection and chemistry between Sebastien and Valentina but then I loved the romance of how Valentina met her husband and the whirlwind romance that they shared for 12 years… This is definitely an interesting story and one that is hard to put down once you start! Get ready for the roller coaster of emotions. 4.5 romantically dreamy stars. If anyone deserves a happily ever after, it’s Valentina. 4.5 romantically dreamy stars.
